The sauna is a place to relax. In addition to that, taking a sauna strengthens the immune system, stimulates the blood circulation, and activates the metabolism and it is a good means for general body care. If you do it right. Because taking a sauna is more than just poking up the oven, sit back and sweat.
First principle:
You should allow yourself to take a sweat cure once a week.
Second principle:
Enjoyment and relaxation should always be your first priority in the sauna. Only fools and boxers, who have to sweat out antother pound 2 hours before they have to be weighed, stay in the sauna until it is almost unbearable and the circulation gets in trouble.

The first session should not take longer than eight to twelve minutes. After that, a second or third session of max. 15 minutes is possible. However, it should never be more than 3 sessions. If you regularly visit the sauna once a week, two sessions per visit will do.
After every hot session, a short but intension cool off session must follow, because the sauna is a matter of alternatingn hot and cold "baths".
One session should be followed by a period of relaxation of at least 15 minutes. Only after this period a second session may be started.
At the end of every session you should lie down on a low bench and give your thoughts free rein. This will slightly set your circulation in motion again.
Poking up the sauna oven shortly before the end of the sauna session again increases the heat once again and makes the session complete. The oven is poked up by pouring water, enriched with herbs or ethereal oils, on the sauna stove.
And after completion of your sauan sessions: drink a lot!
